He also founded the Girl Guides, also known as Girl Scouts, which was led by his wife, Olave Baden-Powell, for forty years. In 1939, B-P and Olave moved to Nyeri, Kenya. Less than two years later, on January 8, 1941, B-P died and was buried in Nyeri.
