    Billie Jean Jones (born 1933) was the second wife of influential country singer Hank Williams. They married in October 1952; each had a previous marriage that ended in divorce. Hank and Billie Jean met in Nashville in summer 1952. She came with Faron Young to Nashville who would make his first guest-appearance at the Opry. Hank Williams was by then still the star of the show and spotted her sitting and waiting for Faron Young. Hank Williams went to Faron Young and said; "Faron, go out there. You see that ol' black haired gal in the front row with the red dress on. She flew down from Pennsylvania to see me. After we get through working tonight, let's you and me go out 'n party. That gal, she's gonna be your gal, and Billie's gonna be my gal."In October Williams married Billie Jean Jones, the 19-year-old daughter of the Bossier City police chief. The two exchanged vows three times: once for a justice of the peace in Minden, Louisiana and twice more at the New Orleans Municipal Auditorium for a combined audience of over 10,000 spectators.

    After his death from heart failure on New Year's Day 1953, she married popular country singer Johnny Horton and was important in promoting his career. Horton died in an automobile accident in 1960, widowing her a second

    The fall of Hank Williams sets in when he was fired from the Grand Old Opry on the 11, August 1952. The reason for this was his unreliability due to irregular alcohol consumption. In the winter of 1951 he suffered from a severe case of spina bifida which caused him to cancel some appearances. He was treated for this illness in the Van der Bilt Hospital in Nashville. At home he had to recover but the tension between his wife and him led to the departure of Audrey and the children. A divorce was settled and Hank Williams lived under the same roof with Ray Price. He had to start all over again to keep his carreer going. He played numeral gigs throughout the South and dated Bobbie Jett. Then he went back to Shreveport and fell in love with the fiancée of collegue Faron Young. Her name was Billie Jean Jones. In the summer of 1952 there were two women he was dating.

    The operation he underwenth wasn't a succes and his condition weakened. Painkillers were gobbled away with beer.
