FM Tango
FM Tango was a radio station that began operation in Buenos Aires in 1990.
Beginning in 1991 they persuaded all of the major record companies to produce a series of compact discs. Now, and it's not often you can say this, the track selections on the FM Tango discs were really excellent.
The design of the covers was also truly excellent - far better than anything the Argentinians have managed since. Someone had the great idea of using the caricatures of Hermengildo Sabat.
With good tracks and great design the discs could only succeed and the rest, as they say, is history. But it really is history. In 1997 the city government took away the radio station's license and the station was closed down.
Most of these discs are now deleted. Today they are collectors items. However some of the very best ones are still available, and, of the others, most have equally worthwhile replacements available today.
Some of the more popular ones have resurfaced in a number of guises: first of all by the Argentine record store Musimundo under their own label, and also by BMG, first under their RCA Club and later Solo Tango labels. Of course, BMG have only re-issued their own discs and even then

Manuela Bravo (La Plata, 12 de enero de 1954) es una cantante, conductora y actriz argentina.
Carrera profesional
[editar]Bravo vivió en La Plata hasta su adolescencia, cuando se trasladó a Buenos Aires. Comenzó su carrera como cantante a fines de 1975. Su primer disco simple se llamó El fruto de nuestro amor, que vendió 190 000 copias. Con el tema «A que no te vas» (de Manuel Alejandro) ganó el Tercer Festival Nacional e Internacional de la Canción, en Buga (Colombia) representando a la Argentina. Los competidores representaban a 12 países de América y Europa.
Participó de la Feria del Milagro (en Ecuador) junto a Julio Iglesias y Raphael. En Nueva York se impuso con el tema «Me está gustando», que estuvo un mes en la televisión neoyorquina.
En 1976, la empresa discográfica CBS editó su álbum Bésame mucho, que incluye temas exitosos entre los que se encuentran: «Hoy», «Amor y duda», «Me está gustando» y otros. En este disco, algunos de los
